Young Nigerian or Islamic Terrorist?

The latest attempt by the young “Nigerian,” (notice that my description fits the P.C. description of all the left leaning media outlets) to destroy a trans – Atlantic flight and 300 innocent passengers and crew, just goes to prove two points. As the technology is developed to thwart the attempts of terrorists to wreak terror, the terrorist advances in his ability to thwart our technology. First we had the shoe bomber and now we have the Fruit of the Loom bomber. Who knows where the bomb components will be hidden next time?

Part of this problem is our system of rewarding political cronies with government jobs for which they have no training nor experience. Janet Napolitano has no more right to be the head of national security than I have. Her CV read but one thing: ” Loyal Liberal.” And yet, Mr. Obama feels that, as Commander in Chief, he has acted properly by placing this nation’s security in her fumbling hands, by patronizing this individual with a job, whose requirement are far beyond her ken.

The second point is that our national security is in shambles. To say that the “system worked” says it all. The FBI, the CIA and National Security are being beaten by a bunch of dark age terrorists, and still think that they have a handle on the situation. These agencies cannot even share information with each other, for fear that one agency will get the credit for acting when it was another agencies investigative work that provided the information needed for same. These agencies do not understand the enemy. This is not a nation arming for war. This is not an army of Jack Booted Soldiers who demonstrate for the world to see. This is not an enemy who follows historical war strategies.

This is an enemy made up of singular men and women whose war is individual and hidden from view. This is an enemy who power is passion and hate. This is an enemy who walks among us every day, asking to be left alone to practice his faith. Well, his faith is harmful to my health. If a man decides to kill himself, and take hundreds of others with him, in the name of Allah, more often that not, he is going to do it, and Janet Napolitano and our Commander in Chief are in the dark when it comes to dealing with that enemy.

Of course, there now arises the privacy issue, as we look at the newest technology of imaging passengers for contraband hidden on or “in” their person, in our busy airports. Certainly protesting and preventing a black and white fuzzy view of my private parts is far more important than saving the lives of myself and fellow passengers, or at least institutions such as the ACLU would say. Personally, I would much rather have some PSA employee titillated by a fuzzy view of my genitals than ending up in a flaming crash in the middle of the ocean. Then again, I have always been a voyeur of sorts. If it means that my flight ends up landing at its destination, in one piece, go ahead and take the damn picture. How is this any more revealing than having the authorities thumbing through the piecemeal remains of by body after the bomb has gone off?

Can we control how security is handled in other foreign airports. Yes. We just don’t allow security absent originations to fly to our airports. You pay a price when an enemy is everywhere, and that price today is airport security. If a nation is inept enough to allow Islamic immigrants to become a sizable proportion of its population, then it suffers the consequences. I don’t want a jet from Objibwa, whose population is 50% Islamic, flying freely into my home airports, unless I know that Objibwa’s airport security is comparable to that which I have in my own country. Yes, this may have a major affect on travel, commerce and the freedoms associated with both, but what good do those freedoms do us if we become fish bait in the middle of the Atlantic. I mean, how dumb must an administration become before it sees the light of day?

Mr. Obama has proven, once again, that he just does not get it. This is not to defend all of the actions and strategies of former President George W. Bush, but at least he knew who the enemy was. Sitting Bull did not sit down with Gen. Custer to discuss the issues that separated them. Those issues were not resolvable over a negotiating table. Mr. Obama is still under the delusion that there is a great deal of good in all men, and that good can be brought to the surface simply by discussion and common sense. That is not how this world has worked in the past, in the present and it certainly is not a view of the future.

It should come then as no surprise that the Iranian people are rising up against their government. The cruel and inhuman laws of the Koran are not of this age and time, and even those who are born under such laws eventually begin to realize the truth. To live under same only means that others must suffer. Sharia law and the radical interpretation of the Koran are not compatible with modern civilization, are are certainly not amenable to discussion and negotiation. Therein lies Mr. Obama’s failure to lead. He believes that Ivy League rhetoric can soothe the beast in the hearts of our enemy, and he is dead wrong.

The Islamic terrorists (P.C. can go to hell) will attempt again and again to bring their Jihad to America and throughout the western world, and we shall always be one step behind, as our pie in the sky liberals continue to believe that war is not an answer. How can history be so wrong? War has always been and will always be the answer to those who would try to destroy us. In this case, we really do not have a singular nation against which we can wage such a liberty saving war. But we do have the technology and hopefully the will power to do all that is necessary to stop these animals in the tracks, even if it is just one by one. Yes, the security lines at the airports will get longer and more burdensome. Yes, some of our privacy issues will be disagreeable and perhaps even embarrassing. Yes, the costs of travel will rise. Yes, it will seem that the enemy has brought the war to our homeland, as we suffer through all the indignities and burdens of greater security. But does not the end justify the means? Unfortunately, none of this will happen if the Napolotano’s of the world are given these jobs out of a sense of political patronization.

Finally, who in their right mind can read our Constitution and find within it the rights and liberties claimed by these heinous individuals. These scum are soldiers of an enemy, and should be treated as such. They should not be given a soapbox in civilian court. They should be taken by a military tribunal and dealt with appropriately. Until Mr. Obama and his pie in the sky liberals begin to realize that this war is a war “for keeps,” we will always be one step behind the enemy, and perhaps the next time, instead of worrying about a terrorists underwear, we will be sifting through the underwear in hundreds of suitcases floating on the surface of some large body of water.
